Letter From The President

Our Teammates Make It Happen

Dear Friends,

My role as President of Hanson Logistics is rewarding for many reasons, most notably because I see firsthand how our teammates are the defining value in supply chain management. There was a day when facility location and the numbers on the rate sheet made the difference. Today it's service, and service is people.

Greg Hanson

Our business model calls for a balance of asset and non-asset services. New trucks and SCM technology broaden our capabilities, while giving our customers greater visibility and improved order management. We've acquired facilities, expanded existing plants, and are in the process of building a state-of-the-art Chicago Consolidation Center. These assets distinguish Hanson Logistics from traditional cold storage companies and position us along side solid competitors in the cold supply chain. Yet at the end of the day, it's not our hardware or software that makes the difference; our customers place their trust in Hanson Logistics teammates.

For example, our ability to retain a top-flight network of carriers to supplement our fleet is due in large part to how drivers are treated at our docks. Fast, professional response to order exceptions, rush shipments and the ‘I need help with. . .’ warehousing issues lead to customers taking the leap of faith into our transportation services. Buyers want the right service at the right price, yet all things being equal, people want to do business with Hanson teammates.

With our new Chicago Consolidation Center, we're bringing to market the newest technology in an optimal location with the best customer service. It's no wonder the news of this expansion is featured in virtually every trade publication. It won't be long before we launch from this new facility what we believe to be the best multi-vendor consolidation program in the Midwest, if not the country. I know when that first consolidated truckload leaves our dock, it will be because Hanson Logistics teammates made it happen.

Respectfully,

Gregory P. Hanson
President & CEO
