We work in a competitive field, where the players are young and old, big and small. Warehousing companies are often measured by scale, history or location. The IARW measures member warehouses using a yardstick of cubic feet, and I suspect this is a carryover from the days of the USDA storage reports. Hanson Logistics lands smack dab in the middle of that scale, smaller than some, bigger than most.

Hanson Logistics Cited as Top 3PL

Food Logistics, focusing on the movement of product through the food supply chain, announced the fifth-annual listing of the Top 3PLs in its July/August 2010 issue. Hanson Logistics was again named as a Top 3PL.
Food distribution is a very complex business and 3PLs play a crucial role in the supply chain, explains Katherine Doherty, editor-in-chief of Food Logistics magazine. While most 3PLs have felt the effects of the economic downturn, the Top 85 continue to respond to their customers needs and rise to the logistical challenges that todays food organizations face.

| Green Light: Energy Upgrades Reduce Facility Footprint |

Hanson Logistics is reducing its facility footprint with recent updates to several of facilities. Hanson Logistics Hart facility has been upgraded with two new freezing units for cost effectively maintaining below zero temperatures, blast cell mechanicals have been upgraded in Hartford and Logansport received an energy-facelift.
