Dear Friends,

Challenging as they may be, these are also very exciting times at Hanson Logistics. Our continuous improvement efforts are bearing fruit on all fronts, with greater bench strength in our management team, a more comprehensive service offering and a clear vision of the road ahead. We are actively engaged with our customers — from processor to retailer — in refining our role in their supply chain.

The question is not so much where we can go to seek new opportunities but instead, where are the hidden opportunities in what we already do well. Let’s not let ‘the good be the obstacle of the best’. Let’s improve, improve, improve. Watch for subtle but still noticeable improvements in our “Yes We Can” business model.

That’s a good segue to one of my more significant announcements. This is my last message to you as President of Hanson Logistics. I am very pleased that Andy Janson will now shoulder the mantle of President, a responsibility I’m confident he will readily and enthusiastically embrace.

Also, please welcome Jack White as our new Controller, assisting Jim Reits. As you may know, Jim is Executive Vice President and CFO of Hanson Logistics and now also has financial responsibility for the Hanson Group.
