Continuous Improvement
We continue to invest in our temperature-controlled network, with capital improvements underway throughout our network. Every Hanson facility plays a critical role in our customers supply chain, from production blast freezing to finish goods distribution. New refrigeration systems, material handling equipment, WMS and RF technologies assure our customers that we are committed to protecting their brand quality and maximizing every logistics dollar.
Hart, Michigan
A series of mechanical upgrades for this 5.6 million cu. ft. production warehouse have been recently completed, with an additional upgrade to the cooler and CA storage refrigeration system planned for the near future. Hart, with convenient access to US-31, focuses primarily on providing safe secure processing and long-term deep-frozen storage for the fruit and vegetable industries.
Hartford, Michigan
Recently installed condensers, with a reverse-osmosis water system to increase efficiency, have added nearly 40% more cooling capacity to a facility located in prime agricultural area. When completed, Hartford refrigeration capacity will increase from 700 tons to 1200 tons. This is just one example of the planned refrigeration upgrades; part of the companys on-going process of maintaining a safe and reliable atmosphere for our teammates and customer commodities.
