Letter From The President Dear Friends, As you can see from the information provided in this issue, construction to our new Chicago Consolidation Center is progressing on plan. We are targeting mid-September as our launch date. We’re on track to open the doors to best-in-class consolidation and distribution service for your busy fall and holiday season, as well as partner with you for your temperature-controlled distribution for 2008 and beyond.

This state-of-the-art facility, located in a prime logistics corridor, incorporates the newest design and latest technologies to assure product safety and efficient operation. From square one, our focus has been to provide our customers with new standards in Midwest consolidation services. Not just another warehouse stopping point, Chicago is engineered from door-to-door to consolidate for optimum efficiency.

When completed, the Chicago Consolidation Center will boost our capacity by nearly 50%, expanding our central states footprint, and provide our customers with the critical mass that drives efficiency in building collaborative truckloads for retail and foodservice distribution.

You’ll also note in this issue that we continue to invest in our temperature-controlled network, with capital improvements underway in many of our facilities. The excitement building around our Chicago Consolidation Center takes the spotlight, yet each Hanson facility plays a critical role in our customers’ supply chain, from production blast freezing to finish goods distribution.
